Hotel Domspitzen - Cologne

Great location near trains. Weak Wi-Fi was frustrating, but enjoyed the cozy room.

It is charming small place to stay, the food is outstanding, and location is fantastic next to everything you could need. The units were romantic and functional on lower floors. There is a central heating, an iron, and a TV - that's always a plus.

It was surely an enjoyable stay for 2 nights.

Loved the breakfast, especially the made-to-order omelettes.

The so called "family room" was nothing else than the 2 extremely little rooms on the very attic without much space having small windows and fungus on the wall. I would rather prefer a simple double room with extra bed for my small kids. Another issue is ongoing construction around the place making it impossible to reach the hotel with a cab and rather uncomforatable to walk in a very narrow pavement. If I had known this before I would have not stayed in the hotel with my family!

I enjoyed my time at Hotel Domspitzen. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the Cologne Cathedral and the central station. The breakfast selection was excellent, with items to start the day right.

Room could be noisy.

We stayed for one night. The proximity to the cathedral made it easy to do some sightseeing.

Very nice friendly and welcoming people running it. Fantastic breakfast. Close to Cathedral, Station and Altstadt in Cologne. Room 53 is up a spiral staircase one stage above the lift and not suitable for anyone but the fittest! We are getting on a bit and liked it.

The cozy room I stayed in had comfy beds, and breakfast was a good spread with so many choices. I loved chilling out on the sun terrace, soaking up the vibe while sipping my coffee, and the garden area was perfect for relaxation too. Just a heads up, the Wi-Fi could be a bit spotty, but it didn't take away from the overall great experience 😊

Hotel is in a construction zone and very difficult to reach. Parking is available but it is two blocks from the hotel.

Buffet breakfast,which was included, was good.

1)Though I understood from the room description that the room had its own bathroom (toilet, shower) inside the room, that was not the case. I had to leave my room each time (i.e. lock/unlock my door) to go to use the bathroom, which was supposed to be just for me (i.e. lock/unlock door each time) . 2) Maybe I overlooked this point in the room description, but there was no phone in the room. 3) There was major roadworks on the street where the hotel is located - noise + access difficulty. All this at 99 euros is not value for money for me.

The triple room was spacious and reminded me of a mini suite. Breakfast was a good surprise, with unique options that elevated the experience beyond expectations.

perfect budget hotel, providing everything it needs to well. Good showers and very friendly staff.

Staff (believe is the owner who helps) is just fantastic during breakfast, we felt like at home. Loved that the bed sheets are all white & clean (no re-used dirty colorful cover here), great that duvet is gently arranged over the bed (not stuck that when you go to sleep have to fight with the bed taking it all out). Wi-fi is free, and works :)

It is very clean but room is a bit dated - ok for a weekend stay.
